Visual Fringe is the portion of the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival that consists of visual art. Like the theater portion of the festival, Visual Fringe is uncensored and unjuried and 100% of the money made in art sales is given back to the artists.
In recent years, the Visual Fringe has grown because of the amazing artists who showcase their work, a dedicated Visual Fringe team, fabulous support of the Fringe Staff. Anything you see hanging on the walls or placed somewhere in the Orlando Shakespeare Theater – be it paintings, drawings, photographs, ceramics or sculptures – is part of Visual Fringe.
2013 will be another exciting year for Visual Fringe with all types of artwork being shown. The addition of a 13000 sq/ft warehouse space on Alden Road, installation art, the weekend arts market and the artist-created miniature golf will make this the most exciting Visual Fringe of all time! The main focus of the Visual Fringe is to allow an outlet for artists to push beyond their usual medium, subject matter and comfort zone to bring true uniqueness to this exhibition and foster the celebration of creativity.
Visual Fringe Warehouse Gallery and artist created Mini-Golf is open 6pm-10pm daily.
And the whole warehouse is open Noon-8pm on weekends for the event featuring art vendors, food trucks, and live music.
(Remember, 100% of money made goes back to the artists.)
The great thing about stopping by Visual Fringe, is the ample and convenient parking. There is a large parking lot in front and plenty of street parking around, so it’s perfect for your shows at the Black Venue as well.
